RiverSpring Respite Care offers temporary nursing home care for older adults who are normally cared for in the community, so that their caregivers have the time to focus on medical treatment, a temporary housing problem, or even a just a well-deserved break. Respite stay guests enjoy the same services and social, recreational, and therapeutic programs as full-time residents of the Hebrew Home at Riverdale.

+ How do I know if I am eligible for Riverspring Respite?
You may be eligible under NYS Medicaid MLTC plan with authorization or privately pay. Requirements for admission: Valid Patient Review Instrument (PRI) Updated Medical Screen w/ lab work from your healthcare professional
+ What if I need more time than originally planned for?
A RiverSpring Respite stay is for either Nursing or Dementia Care are booked in advance by family members weeks, sometimes months in advance, and is meant for a short term stay of one to five weeks of care per week. Unfortunately, if someone is booked after you stay is ended you may not extend your stay. Your RSH Care Counselor assist you with information to obtain additional supports in the community or provide you with information for conversation to Long Term Care, according to your insurance coverages.

We accept Community Medicaid, Medicaid Long Term Care or private payment.
